Careers

Firstly a little about what we do; as Careers Liaison Representatives for Solicitors we basically make it our business to assist you in any way on your path to becoming a solicitor. This entails many things but organising the Annual Law Fair is probably the biggest responsibility we have. This, for those of you who donĂt know (and as freshers no body expects you to), it is an excellent opportunity for you to gather the information you need about whether a career as a solicitor is for you and how to go about progressing in that career. This year the Law Fair will be held on the 11th of November so be sure to put that in your diaries!

But we also know that not all of you want to become solicitors and that is a good thing (variety is the spice of life you know), so we cater to your needs as well by providing all the information we can about alternative careers with your law degree.

But the Law Fair is not all we do, we will be organising talks and other events to help you assess what exactly you want to do with you degree. We are also committed to working with you and the University Careers Service to enhance your employability skills and prospects.

We also happen to be friendly people (on most days!) so just come and ask us questions or send us an e-mail and we will do our best to help you out. If you have any ideas or suggestions of anything you would like us to do, just drop us a line and we will try to accommodate your request.
